Love this little hidden gem. Well worth the drive.

Mountain Hollow Farm is an enchanting and magical place! The people were very warm, friendly and helpful. My friends and I had such a wonderful time. A charming young man offered us some delicious blueberry tea. There are adorable goat's wondering the property. This place made my heart sing.

Save yourself the drive. As a regular customer, I brought a guest in and she inquired about a book they no longer had. I had one and would have given it to my friend, but Angela quickly told me she had a copy and would give it to me if I gave mine to my friend. Knowing she was trying to make a sale, I agreed. The store collected the money from my friend, I gave her my copy, and all I have gotten in the last 9 months is a series of ridiculous excuses. Things like 'a man with cooties has it', 'my mother left the state with it', 'oh, was there a recipe you wanted?', 'I have a four hour hair appointment ' and many less entertaining. After 5 months I approached Beth, the owner. She was there the day in question and knew she collected money for my book. She told me the deal was between me and Angela. It was clear she did not want to take responsibility for the transaction in her business by her employee. After six months I messaged Beth suggesting it was time to resolve this and got no response. I then asked Beth to refund my friends money, figuring I would consider it a gift to her. No response. As owner, Beth should have taken responsibility, addressed a positive resolution with me and the friend I brought in, and dealt with any internal issues. I have seen these ladies actually doing bible studies in the store and never expected less than honesty from either one, much less a business. I'm not interested in the book anymore and I can live without the $10 or $12 Beth sold it for, but I do not appreciate being taken advantage of. Any "friendliness" perceived at Mountain Hollow Farm is surface only and goes as far as a dollar.

This shop is cozy and unique. The customer service was excellent and exceptionally friendly. While this year's batch of local wool was ruined by the mill, they usually carry super soft yarn gathered from their own animals. Even though this shop is over an hour drive one way for me, I definitely plan to visit again.

Great place to visit and learn so much!
